Description
This is the flagship of Kowa's PROMINAR spotting scopes. It is the first featuring a pure fluorite crystal lens, the optimum optical material for reducing chromatic aberration. The extremely large 88mm objective lens lets in more light, resulting in bright images.
The magnesium alloy body is strong and rugged, but lightweight compared to traditional metal scopes.
The dual focus system allows a quick focus, with a large and easy-to turn knob, and a fine focus, with a smaller knob that moves smoothly and with pinpoint accuracy. The housing is waterproof to JIS* Protection Class 7 (Not intended for underwater use) and filled with dry nitrogen gas to prevent the lenses from fogging.
