Horizontal grooves inside the item create plenty of gripping spots for bats, and a small front gap helps the home remain ventilated. The extended, 2.75" long landing pad makes it easy for them to access the shelter, and the black roof aids in retaining heat. Predrilled holes at the base of this piece assist in placing it on a tree or wall, or attach an adapter (not included) to it for pole mounting.
